This play can be done with as many actors as required. There can be many double-ups of actors, aside from Esther, or it can be done using some actors and voice overs (live or pre-recorded). This also allows the play the ability of being performed in any size of venue.
Esther is about to turn 50. The year is 2002 and she has decided that after this 50th party she is going to hang up her frock for good and live the life of a boring housewife. As she gets ready for the party she reflects on her life of the good, the bad and the very, very ugly. What makes her special? She is a he.

The Truth in her Lies
A comedy drama in 2 acts, set in New York.
4-5 male & 4-5 female actors.
Set in New York on a cold night, Alan is dumped by his long-term girlfriend, Alice, by text. He tries to work out why she was so in love one minute and ready to forsake their life together the next. Going between Alan’s apartment & Alice’s, can Alan uncover whether her truths were lies or if the truth within her lies.
(This comedy drama is recommended to be produced by a company who produce adult humour as there is some strong language.)
What If
A comedy drama in 2 acts, set in a marriage counsellor’s office.
6 male & 4 female actors.
A couple visit a marriage counsellor to try and piece together their broken marriage. The counsellor suggests a new form of therapy they are trialling. They are to imagine what life would be like if the other had no means of communication. Would one be able to look after the other quite the way they hoped?
